01 · The story

Three trades. One person who actually does the work.

Most contractors stick to one trade. The reason is straightforward — each trade takes years to learn properly. Bear Eng is different because Raymond Botha qualified across all three: electrical work, airconditioning, and commercial refrigeration. The combination matters: nearly every cooling system depends on an electrical install, and nearly every refrigeration breakdown ends up being either a gas issue, a control issue, or a power issue. Having one contractor who can diagnose all three saves you time, callouts, and finger-pointing.

The business was started to fill a specific gap: clients in [SERVICE_AREAS] wanted a contractor who would arrive on time, quote in writing, and deliver work that holds up under the kind of scrutiny that comes with insurance claims, property sales, and food-safety audits. Anything less and you're just hiring problems for later.

We work for homeowners, landlords, restaurants, butcheries, retail tenants, farms and small industrial sites. The job size varies. The standard does not.

[AREA 1] [AREA 2] [AREA 3] [AREA 4] [AREA 5] [AREA 6]

Outside this radius? Get in touch — larger projects and contract work are quoted across the wider region.

04 · How we work
Four operating principles

Standards aren't a marketing line. They're how we stay in business.

01

Show up when we say

If we book Tuesday at 10:00, we arrive Tuesday at 10:00 — or you get a call before then. No no-shows.

02

Quote before we work

Itemised, written quotes for anything beyond a quick fix. Variations agreed in writing before they're done.

03

Leave it cleaner than we found it

Drop sheets down. Cabling tucked, cable-tied and labelled. Site cleaned at end of day. Every time.

04

Stand behind the work

Workmanship warranty on every install. If something goes wrong inside that period, it's our problem to fix.
